There was a tragic story on the news the other day about a man killed in a fatal Flint drunk driving semi-truck accident on November 23 in Genesee County. According to the police, a 57-year-old Flint man, driving a station wagon, was attempting to turn left onto West Pierson Road, from Dupont Street, when his vehicle was allegedly struck by a semi-truck. Police further stated the truck left the scene but the driver was arrested about a mile away. Police also stated witnesses said that semi-driver did not have his headlights on and was driving recklessly, prior to the crash. Police suspect alcohol played a factor in this accident and are still investigating.

There was a tragic story in the paper today about a Greenville teacher killed in a fatal Plainfield Township drunk driving accident on November 24 in Iosco County. According to the Michigan State Police, the Greenville teacher was driving his pick-up truck northbound on East Beltline Road when he was allegedly hit head-on by pick-up truck heading the wrong direction. The teacher died at the scene. Police are still investigating this tragic accident and believe that alcohol may have been a factor.

According to the Michigan State Police, an 86-year old Perry man was walking on S. Morrice Road when he was allegedly struck by a vehicle traveling north on S. Morrice Road. The Perry man  was pronounced dead at the scene. The man who hit him was uninjured. Police are still investigating this accident.

There was a story in the paper today about five people injured in a Flint car accident on Sunday, November 15th, in Genesee County. According to the Flint Police, a Chevy Blazer allegedly ran the light at the intersection of Pasadena and Martin Luther King and collided with a Ford Escort. Six people were in the SUV and 1 person was in the escort. Five people were sent to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Police are still investigating this accident.

There was story in the paper today about a clerk that was injured when a drugged driver crashed into a Bay City store on November 9th in Bay County. According to Bay City police, a small white car allegedly crashed through the glass of a Columbus Avenue store and struck a counter where the clerk was standing. Police found the driver inside the store and arrested her under suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs. The clerk was taken to the Bay Regional Medical center to be treated for her serious injuries. Police are still investigating this accident at this time.
