There was a story in the paper today about a man seriously injured in a Richland Township car accident on January 20th in Saginaw County. According to the Saginaw County Sheriff, a 21-year-old Midland man was southbound on North Hemlock when he allegedly failed to yield the right of way while turning left onto eastbound frost and hit a 2001 Honda, driven by a 26-year-old Hemlock man. Both suffered serious injuries. The Hemlock man was transported to Covenant Healthcare for treatment of his serious injuries. Police continue to investigate this accident.

There was another story in the paper today about a woman seriously injured in a Warren Township pedestrian hit and run accident on January 18th in Midland County. According to the Midland County Sheriff’s Office, a 26-year old Midland woman was walking east on Pere Marquette when she was allegedly hit by an unidentified vehicle. She was rushed to Covenant Medical Center for treatment of her serious injuries. Police are still investigating this accident and ask that anyone with information on the accident contact them.

There was a tragic story in the news today about a man injured in a Flint pedestrian hit and run accident on January 18th in Genesee County. According to the Flint Police, a 29-year-old Flint man was walking in a parking lot near N. Chevrolet and W. Hamilton Avenues when he was allegedly struck by a vehicle, that did not remain on the scene. The Flint man was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his serious injuries. Police are seeking any information on the accident and ask anyone with information to call them at (810) 237-6811.

There was a story in the paper about the wife and son of a Saginaw Police Detective in a Saginaw car accident on January 10th. According to the police, the 37-year-old wife and 5-year-old son were eastbound in a Chrysler Sebring on Tittabawassee when a westbound Chevy Trailblazer allegedly lost control on a patch of ice and hit them head-on. The wife and son were taken to a local hospital for treatment of their potentially serious injuries. Police are still investigating this accident.

There was a story in the paper today about three people injured in a Frankenmuth Township three car accident on December 24, 2009 in Saginaw County. According to authorities, the accident happened on Junction Road when a 66-year-old woman allegedly reached down in her vehicle to grab something, crossed the center-line and sideswiped another car. The woman’s car then went airborne and struck a minivan. The woman and two others were taken to a local hospital for treatment of their serious injuries. Police are still investigating the matter.
