Multiple Bicycle Accidents Near Saginaw
I read a story in the paper today about Multiple Bicycle Accidents Near Saginaw that occurred July 31st. In the first accident, according to police, the bicyclist was riding his bicycle across East Patrick Road, near South Saginaw Road, when he was allegedly struck by a car. The bicyclist was seriously injured and taken to Covenant Healthcare.
In an unrelated second accident, according to police, another bicyclist was riding his bicycle when he allegedly collided with a motorcycle trying to pass him on South Leaton Road in Isabella County. He was taken to Covenant Healthcare as well with serious injuries where he was in critical condition.
I am very sorry hear that these accidents happened. It is my hope and best wishes to the bicyclists for a speedy and full recovery from this accident.
Our Michigan car accident lawyers advise accident victims of their legal rights. For this type of accident, the injured bicyclists can submit a claim for Michigan No-Fault insurance benefits. No-Fault benefits will cover their medical expenses, lost wages, attendant care, replacement services, and other benefits related to injuries suffered in the accident. The injured bicyclists can claim these benefits even if they did not have an automobile insurance policy.
In addition, the injury victims may be able to file a lawsuit against the persons driving the car and the motorcycle. The insurance company for the drivers must still cover any injuries. In this lawsuit, they can claim damages and compensation for the injuries suffered in the accident. The insurance company for a negligent driver typically pays a settlement for this type of case.
An experienced Michigan car accident lawyer can assist the victim with this type of claim. Accident victims should not speak with the insurance adjuster for the negligent driver before consulting with an attorney.
