With winter finally ending, we Michiganders are looking forward to warmer weather an no more snow and ice on our streets, sidewalks, and parking lots.  In addition to the winter weather conditions just being miserable at times, the snow and ice conditions pose significant safety risks to people in our state.  My law office was chosen by a number of injury victims to represent them in cases involving slip and fall accidents due to snow and icy conditions.  The injuries in these cases are often very severe and include broken bones, fractured hips, and closed head injuries.

Flint Pedestrian Hit and Run Drunk Driving Accident

There was a story in the paper today about a man seriously injured in a Flint pedestrian hit and run drunk driving accident on February 7th in Genesee County. According to the Flint Police, a Flint pedestrian was seriously injured while he was standing on the side of the road reporting a hit and run accident he had witnessed at S. Saginaw and Damon Streets when he was allegedly struck by a car and thrown 40 feet. The driver fled the scene of the accident but later was allegedly found, allegedly intoxicated. The Flint pedestrian was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his serious injuries. Police are still investigating this accident.

I am very sorry to hear about this accident and hope that the pedestrian recovers from this accident without any permanent injuries or deficits.

Richland Township Car Accident

There was a story in the paper today about a man seriously injured in a Richland Township car accident on January 20th in Saginaw County. According to the Saginaw County Sheriff, a 21-year-old Midland man was southbound on North Hemlock when he allegedly failed to yield the right of way while turning left onto eastbound frost and hit a 2001 Honda, driven by a 26-year-old Hemlock man. Both suffered serious injuries. The Hemlock man was transported to Covenant Healthcare for treatment of his serious injuries. Police continue to investigate this accident.

I am very sorry to hear about this accident and hope the injured Hemlock man has a complete and full recovery from their potentially serious injuries.

There was a tragic story in the news today about a man injured in a Flint pedestrian hit and run accident on January 18th in Genesee County. According to the Flint Police, a 29-year-old Flint man was walking in a parking lot near N. Chevrolet and W. Hamilton Avenues when he was allegedly struck by a vehicle, that did not remain on the scene. The Flint man was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his serious injuries. Police are seeking any information on the accident and ask anyone with information to call them at (810) 237-6811.
