Genesee County Hit & Run Car Accident

I read a tragic story about a Genesee County Hit & Run Car Accident that shut down I-69 for several hours over the weekend. According to Davison Township Police, a driver and his passenger, in an MTA Your Ride car, were travelling on I-69 when their vehicle was allegedly hit by a minivan, near Irish Road. The MTA car was then run over by a motor-home that could not stop or avoid the car. The minivan left the scene of the accident.

The driver and passenger of the MTA car were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. The driver was released but the passenger is still there in serious but stable condition. Davison Township Police are looking for the minivan or witnesses to the accident. If you have any information on this accident, please call them at (810) 653-5656.

I am very sorry to hear about this tragic accident. I wish the accident victims a full and complete recovery and hope that they suffered no permanent harm.

Our Michigan car accident lawyers advise accident victims of  their legal rights.  For this type of auto accident in Michigan, the injured parties can submit a claim for Michigan No-Fault insurance benefits.  No-Fault benefits will cover their medical expenses, lost wages, attendant care, replacement services, and other benefits related to injuries suffered in the accident.  The injured parties can claim these benefits even if they did not have a Michigan automobile insurance policy.

In addition, the injury victims may be able to file a lawsuit against the persons determined to be at fault in the auto accident. The insurance company for the driver must still cover any injuries. In this lawsuit, the injured parties can claim damages and compensation for the injuries suffered in the accident.  The insurance company for the negligent driver typically pays a settlement for this type of case.

If the driver’s identity is not discovered, the injured victims still have rights under the law. They may be able to file an uninsured motorists claim against their own insurance policy or another insurance policy to receive No-Fault Benefits.  At the very least, the injured victims should hire the best possible lawyer to look into these possibilities.

An experienced Michigan car accident lawyer can assist the victim with this type of claim.  Accident victims should not speak with the insurance adjuster for the negligent driver before consulting with an attorney.

Flint Fatal Drunk Driving Accident

I read in the paper today about a tragic Flint Fatal Drunk Driving Accident in Genesee County. According to police, an alleged drunk driver, in a pick-up truck, was travelling down Court Street when he allegedly struck a car heading south on Grand Traverse Street. One of the passengers in the car was killed and the other was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. Police stated they found alcohol at the crash site. Police continue to investigate this accident.

I  am very sorry to hear about these tragic auto accidents and wish all the injured parties the fullest and speediest recovery possible.  My condolences to the family of the deceased passenger for their loss.

Our Michigan car accident lawyers advise accident victims on their legal rights. For this type of auto accident in Michigan, the injured passenger can submit a claim for Michigan No-Fault insurance benefits.  No-Fault benefits will cover his or her medical expenses, lost wages, attendant care, replacement services, and other benefits related to injuries suffered in the accident.  The injured party can claim these benefits even if he or she did not have a Michigan automobile insurance policy.

Furthermore, for this type of accident, the family members of the deceased passenger may be able to make a claim for Survivor Loss Benefits.  This can include payment of funeral expenses, lost wages, and loss of other services.

In addition, the car accident injury victims may also have claims for personal injuries against any driver determined to be at fault in this auto accident.  The insurance company for the negligent driver typically pays a settlement for this type of case. In this lawsuit, the injured victims can claim damages and compensation for the injuries suffered in the accident.  Also, the family members of the deceased passenger  may have a claim for a Michigan wrongful death lawsuit against the driver that police determine was negligent and caused these car accidents. At the very least, the surviving family should hire the best possible lawyer to look into these possibilities.

Another possible claim for anyone injured by the drunk driver would be a potential Michigan dram shop case against the seller or furnisher of the  alcohol before the accident.

An experienced Michigan car accident lawyer can assist the victims with this type of claim.  Auto accident victims should not speak with the insurance adjuster for the negligent driver before consulting with an attorney.
